The Walton County Board of County Commissioners recognizes not for profit organizations play an important role in our community. As a part of the budget process, the Board of County Commissioners allocates funds toward an opportunity for assistance to non-profits. Walton County is committed to providing financial assistance to those nonprofit agencies which assist the County in carrying out its vision to “be THE premier County in which to live, visit, work and play” and mission “to efficiently and effectively serve the citizens of Walton County by providing a safe community and a sustainable economy while preserving our quality of life and natural resources.” Applications for 2027 open period to be determined. Opioid Settlement Proceeds Grant Program 2026


Overdose Prevention Grants Program 2026-2027

The Overdose Prevention Grants Program (OPGP) for 2026-2027 provides funding through two distinct sources: Opioid Settlement and Coordinated Opioid Recovery (CORE) Network. Applicants must select the appropriate funding source in their application based on the approved strategies and scopes outlined for each funding source. Applicants are strongly encouraged to utilize the provided templates to ensure completeness and alignment with program requirements.
